It was time to prune the Bougainvilleas again.

This Bougainvillea got leggy.

I decided to try and propagate Bougainvilleas this time.

I trimmed the cuttings down to between 6 - 8 inches.   

Potting Mix

I used a sand and perlite potting mix.

Waiting for Sprouts

If they sprout in 6 to 8 weeks, that will be in September sometime. 

Update: Oct 10, 2023 - Still Waiting

No luck, I didn't get any sprouts at all.

Back to square one, I'll try it again.

Update: Mar 1, 2024 - Finally!

I redid the cuttings and I'm beginning to get some sprouts. There appears to be something else growing along with the Bougainvillea cuttings, but I'm pleased. I'll leave it and see what it turns out to be.
